What the Job Involves
The Income Officer is responsible for maximizing income collection and reducing arrears across managed accommodations. This involves taking preventative and recovery actions, utilizing legal processes as necessary. You will guide and support tenants on financial matters, help them establish achievable payment plans, and make referrals to relevant support services. Additionally, you will manage accounts using the income management system, liaise with relevant departments, and represent the Council in various official capacities.
