Who You Are
The ideal candidate is experienced in managing Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Public Law Outline (PLO) work. You have a high capacity to work at a fast pace and handle Section 47 investigations effectively. You are adaptable, capable of holding cases for short-term periods, and can work both independently and as part of a team. You are open to learning and development with the support provided, and are committed to placing the child at the center of all assessments and plans.
What the Job Involves
The Duty Service responds to all referrals received from the MASH and initiates assessments and plans for children. You will be working within one of the four teams, each consisting of a team manager, an assistant team manager, and six social workers. Responsibilities include responding to referrals and completing necessary assessments as part of duty service once every four weeks. Cases are held for short-term periods, with the potential for step down or transfer based on the child's needs. You will be expected to work a minimum of two days in the office weekly, with exceptions during full duty weeks.
