You are an experienced social worker with a strong background in managing and delivering operational services within adult social care settings. Demonstrating exceptional leadership to enhance professional social work practice, you have a deep commitment to promoting individual wellbeing, independence, and safeguarding vulnerable adults. Your extensive knowledge and expertise in social work enable you to address complex cases while contributing positively to team dynamics and development.

What the Job Involves

This onsite role, based at Musgrove Park Hospital, involves managing a specified neighborhood or locality area to deliver high-quality social care services. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will support adults to maintain independence, deliver joined-up social care services, and ensure smooth transitions out of hospital. You will manage and develop team members, contribute towards service improvement, operate within budgetary frameworks, and uphold high standards of professional practice in accordance with The Care Act and relevant professional codes.

Skills

  • Social Work qualification and valid registration with Social Work England
  • Extensive knowledge of social work practice, risk management, and statutory requirements
  • Experience in managing complex casework and providing high-quality supervision
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent experience in delivering and managing services within a budgetary framework
  • Expertise in safeguarding, community engagement, and legal frameworks
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff to improve service outcomes
